There are many traditions and customs that are related to Easter. Right from Easter egg, Easter Bunny and Easter Basket, this festival brings together myriad of celebrations.

On Easter Sunday many types of customs and traditions bring forward a rich variety of celebrations. In Mexico, papier-mâché images of the traitor Judas of different sizes are hanged over the streets or on poles on Easter. They are generally filled with fireworks and then lit towards the evening, marking the onset of celebrations. Children on Easter’s often make 'The Eye of God' by weaving colorful wools across sticks tied together in the form of a cross in a diamond pattern.

People of Egypt use hard-boiled, painted eggs to play skittles at Easter. Swedish girls go from one house to another dressed as witches carrying a coffee pot to collect sweets and coins, while people try to frighten them off as bad luck by letting off firecrackers in the streets. In Spain people use beautifully decorated floats to portray the story behind Easter.

In Serville, Easter celebrations and traditions are the most elaborate and magnificent. In churches, the Priest lights a candle, which is in line used to lit all the candles of the neighbors. After all the candles have been, Easter celebrations start with fireworks dazzling the evening sky.

On Easter Monday, people get up early in the morning. Boys and men move out and whip women and children whom they meet on the way as a Easter tradition. Girls and women of course try to save themselves by running away from their reach. This is also a custom related to Easter. Children sing Easter songs and carols as young boys go about asking for Easter eggs.

Another popular custom that is related to Easter is 'Easter dousing'. This custom is specifically practiced during Easter to chase away evil spirits. The biggest egg rolling ceremony in the world can be seen to unfold in the lawn of Whitehouse on Easter Monday. In France, people stop ringing the Church bells from the evening of Holy Thursday as a remembrance of Jesus Christ’s death. On Easter Sunday, again the bells ring once more celebrating the resurrection of Christ and people once more get into the happy mood of Easter.
