I recently happened to chance upon a tour of Donald Trump’s residence on television. Grand in all proportions, I couldn’t help but be attracted to the rather simple yet majestic flower arrangement at the entrance. A vase shaped like a lady’s head, with bright tropical flowers arranged into it. It looked like a lady wearing a hat with tropical flowers stitched onto it. But imagine my surprise when I saw the very same vase (ok maybe not the very same but a good replica nevertheless) advertised on a couple of online sites for as low as $65.
A good investment for decorating the entrance to your home or as an ornamental piece on a terrace garden. Another interesting arrangement meant for outdoors as well as indoors is a Topiary tree. It immediately draws attention and is very simple to make.
Rose Petal Tree
Here’s how you can make a dried rose petal topiary tree. You would require-:
Dried rose petals
Single ball topiary tree. (Available at your local crafts center)
12’ wide ceramic clay pot
Wire edged ribbon
Glue
Moss
Instructions-:
Put the clay in the bottom of the pot and then put topiary ball in it.
Use moss to fill between the topiary form and the pot and then cover with moss.
Glue the dried rosebuds onto the topiary ball.
Tie a little bow to the center of the stick.
You could use different materials instead of rosebuds like Christmas candy, coffee beans or sunflowers.
